Simulated

QI

Project

This 3-part curriculum simulates a QI project using Lean methodology. It can be used as a stand-alone comprehensive introduction to QI or as a primer for trainees embarking on QI projects to demonstrate the steps necessary for a successful project. Uses a combination of didactics and web-based activities using real-life data to demonstrate QI methodology. To foster trainee engagement three “Choose your own adventure” options are available for teams to create different projects and get differing outcomes.

Special Teaching Instructions

This course uses combination of instructor lead PowerPoint and Web-based activities through TeachIS.org. This course is meant to have all 3 sessions taught in-series. Is not meant to be used in combination with the “Introducing QI” module as materials will be somewhat redundant and this encompasses that module and much more.
